We're back, Cougars!
Dear Clairbourn Families,
I can't stop smiling! It brought me so much joy to see everyone coming back on the first day, ready for learning, eager to see friends new and old, and so many, much taller! I got to fist bump, hug, high five, shake hands, and smile with happy eager students, ready for their first day. This is such an exciting Centennial year, and you are part of it. We have a perfect opportunity to reflect on our school's rich history and also show gratitude for the growth and progress. There is even more progress to come.
So as we launch into this new year, I encourage all of us to make new connections, learn a lot, grow in our personal skills, and find the joy in each day.

Cougar Corner Grand Opening is Next Friday!
Join us on September 5 to celebrate the grand opening of Cougar Corner!
Starting Friday, September 5, students can visit Cougar Corner after school to grab a snack. They can pay with cash or charge it to their Cougar Corner accounts. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for parents to volunteer, connect with other parents, and engage with our students. We look forward to seeing you there!

New student support partners. Please complete the consent form at your earliest convenience.
This year, Clairbourn is launching a new partnership with Counseling Partners of Los Angeles (CPLA). They will be providing counseling services to Clairbourn by embedding two individuals into our school. Not all students will use this service in any given year, but in order to allow any child to take advantage of the support, a consent form must be signed by a parent. A consent form is NOT a referral request. Please use this link to sign the CPLA consent form. |
Clairbourn is a phone-free space to improve teaching and learning.
Students in preschool - fifth grades MAY NOT bring any personal electronic devices to school, including
but not limited to games, smart watches, tablet
computers, laptop computers, wireless headphones, e-readers, and cell phones.
Middle school cell phone
policy is as follows:
Students may bring a cell phone to school but it MUST BE locked in
a Yondr pouch during the school day.

Picture Day: Photo Ordering Info!
Picture Day is on September 8, 2025. This year, we’re teaming up with JostensPIX for our student portraits!
Here’s what you need to know:
1. You will order the photos AFTER Picture Day.
2. Once the pictures are ready, JostensPIX will send you a link to place your order.
3. To access the gallery, create an account using the email address that your school has on file.

Nut Policy Reminder
In order to make Clairbourn a safe environment for all of our students:
• NO nuts or items containing nuts.
• If sending any special treats to school to share with other students, be sure to avoid nuts or nut oil. Please give these items to your child’s teacher for
distribution, and ALWAYS check with the teacher first before purchasing.
• Have your child wash their hands before school if your child eats peanuts or peanut butter before school.
• NO sharing food.

Calling all young artists!
Students are invited to design a colorful, original flyer that captures the spirit of the Clairbourn Entrepreneurial Fair. The winning design will be featured as the official event flyer and the artist will receive a $25 prize to spend at the fair!
