The Outstanding Graduate is nominated by the faculty after careful consideration of all students. Candidates are considered on the basis of their record at previous schools (if any), their record at Clairbourn, and the significance of their contribution to the Clairbourn community.
This year, we recognize an individual who excels in all areas of student life while demonstrating exceptional character and citizenship. This year’s recipient truly embodies those qualities in every way. He is an all-around outstanding young man: bright, creative, athletic, and deeply engaged in the life of the school. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, on stage in drama productions, or serving on student council, Austin consistently gives his best effort and leads with integrity, humility, and enthusiasm. His academic success reflects both his intelligence and his strong work ethic, while his curiosity and excitement for learning inspire those around him.

Celebrating Music Achievement
We recognized fourth to eighth grade students who showed unwavering commitment by investing time in their daily practice and collaborating with their peers. They passed the general musical knowledge tests and performed leveled pieces on their specific instruments.
We use the six nationwide standard levels as inspiration for our own Clairbourn Music Levels. The Clairbourn Music Levels expands those six levels into more than fifteen levels to give students additional goals to readily achieve.
Level 1-7: elementary level
Level 8-10: middle school level
Level 11-13: high school level
Level 14 and higher: college or competitive high school level
We currently have students playing at the elementary school level, many at the middle school level, quite a few at the high school level, and three who recently passed a playing test at the college level!
Using these testing levels motivates students to improve at their own pace. We are proud of our Cougars' dedication.
Congratulations!

2026 Middle School Spirit Day
This year's Middle School Spirit Day theme is Gameapalooza! The competition was on to determine which advisory would reign supreme! In this beloved Spirit Day tradition, students put their teamwork, enthusiasm, and determination to the test through a series of exciting games and challenges. In honor of Clairbourn’s Centennial year, this year’s theme brings childhood classics to life on a giant scale for the ultimate GAMEAPALOOZA experience.
Students became the game pieces themselves as they compete in life-sized versions of favorites such as Connect 4, Human Hungry Hungry Hippos, Extreme Jenga, Giant Memory Relay, Human Foosball, and even a real-life water-balloon Battleship showdown. The energy was high as the Pazin advisory (yellow team), Woo advisory (green team), Lucas advisory (orange team), and Vinnedge advisory (blue team) battled it out for Spirit Day glory. Check out the joy and fun!

2026 Clairbourn Cardboard Regatta
Last week, teams of eighth graders built boats out of cardboard, plastic sheeting, and duct tape for the annual Clairbourn Cardboard Regatta. The design and construction process included wonderful teamwork, cooperation, and creativity. All four teams showed how much they can achieve when they work together. Four boats entered the regatta, all of which were able to float, at least until people got into them.
Every few years, there is a boat that sinks incredibly fast built by a team that refuses to give up, and that happened this year. Congratulations to the team of Austin, Victor, Milton, and Belen for demonstrating remarkable perseverance and determination despite a boat that was underwater and literally falling apart the entire time.
The three remaining boats were propelled across the water by their crews of either one or two people, earning five points per person for each completed length of the pool. There were terrific displays of teamwork and cooperation as teams cheered, learned how to steer, and executed some impressive turning maneuvers.
In the end, one team reigned supreme and earned a whopping 120 points for 12 full lengths completed by their two sailors. Their boat was well constructed and stayed remarkably water proof for a long time. Their names will be permanently sharpied onto the Regatta Champions trophy. Congratulations to the winners of the 2026 Clairbourn Cardboard Regatta: Alan, Mark, Aaron, and Ethan.
Special thank you to Mr. Taylor for lifeguarding and Mr. Beaber for designing and laser-cutting the medals for our winners.
Great job eighth grade Cougars for showing your teamwork and sportsmanship! |
